MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been fulfilling with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of small companies in Cornwall presently earn money from utilized cooking oil".
He added: "In order to have the ability to get this sort of market going it does require just a bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a mix of traditional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
